Translation Department

Green Gate is overseen by a Board of Directors responsible for setting the company’s strategic direction and ensuring strong corporate governance. The Board:

  • In-house translators specialized in various sectors (legal, medical, technical, financial, marketing, etc.)
  • A network of certified freelance linguists for additional language pairs and subject-matter expertise
  • Editors and proofreaders who ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guides
  • Key responsibilities:
  • Handling end-to-end translation projects from intake to delivery
  • Applying industry best practices, including multi-step review and quality checks
  • Managing terminology databases and translation memories
  • Ensuring linguistic, cultural, and technical accuracy across all projects

Management Team

The Senior Management Team coordinates day-to-day operations and ensures each department functions efficiently and in alignment with company objectives. This team typically includes heads of departments (Translation, Finance, Marketing, IT, HR, Legal, and Operations).

Key responsibilities:

  • Implementing the strategic directions set by the CEO and Board
  • Defining departmental goals, KPIs, and performance standards

Finance Department

The Finance Department manages the company’s financial health and enables sustainable growth.

  • Budget preparation, financial planning, and forecasting
  • Monitoring cash flow, revenues, and expenditures
  • Managing invoicing, payments, and vendor contracts
  • Preparing financial statements and reports for management and the Board
  • Ensuring compliance with tax, accounting, and financial regulations
  • Supporting financial risk management and cost optimization

Marketing Department

The Marketing Department is responsible for promoting Green Gate’s services, brand positioning, and market growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Managing the company’s brand identity and communication guidelines
  • Overseeing digital marketing (website, social media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM)
  • Creating promotional materials, case studies, and content marketing assets
  • Conducting market research and competitor analysis
  • Supporting sales and business development initiatives

IT Department

The IT Department supports all technical and digital aspects of the company’s operations, ensuring secure and efficient workflows.

Key responsibilities:

  • Implementing and maintaining translation management systems (TMS) and CAT tools
  • Managing servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure
  • Ensuring data security, backup, and disaster recovery
  • Supporting cybersecurity measures and compliance with data protection regulations
  • Developing and maintaining the company website and internal tools
  • Providing technical support to staff and remote collaborators

 

Human Resources (HR) Department

The HR Department focuses on building and supporting a skilled, motivated, and diverse workforce.

Key responsibilities:

  • Recruitment and onboarding of translators, editors, project managers, and support staff
  • Designing training, professional development, and performance evaluation programs
  • Managing employee relations, engagement, and workplace culture
  • Overseeing payroll, benefits, and HR policies
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws and employment regulations
  • Supporting health, safety, and well-being initiatives in the workplace

Legal Adviser / Legal Department

Green Gate works with a Legal Adviser (or Legal Department) to safeguard the company’s interests and ensure compliance in all operations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating client and vendor contracts
  • Advising on intellectual property, confidentiality, and non-disclosure agreements
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international laws, including data protection and privacy regulations
  • Supporting dispute resolution and legal risk management
  • Providing guidance on regulatory requirements affecting language services
